Bus Transfers To and From Lisbon Airport

When you arrive at Lisbon Airport please make sure to collect your luggage from the baggage claim area before exiting to landside. 

There are several different options of bus transfers to and from Lisbon International Airport. Which option that is best for you depends on a few things, the size of your luggage being one of them. 

Public Transportation Buses

There are several bus lines stopping at the airport’s arrivals that will take you to different parts of Lisbon. The luggage allowance on the bus is restricted to that of 50x40x20 cm with no option to bring excess luggage. 

An electronic travel card must be purchased as well. It is called “7Colinas”/”Viva Viagem” and it can be used for the Metro and the public bus network Carris. The cards can be purchased on the bus or at the Metro station.

The electronic card costs 0.50€.

The fare for a single journey is 1.45€. The card has to be topped up with a minimum of 3.00€ and can be topped up as many times as you wish to.

Shuttle Bus

Coimbra Airport Shuttle is a service offering shared daily shuttle transfers door-to-door in central Portugal including Lisbon and Oporto Airports.

The schedules are adapted to the flight timetables and are regular and reliable.

AeroBus

This bus provides a link between the main points in Lisbon city and the two airport terminals through two different lines. 

The buses are comfortable and offer free WiFi, USB charging, reduced mobility access and luggage compartments. 

A one way ticket costs 2.00€ for a child and 4.00€ for an adult.

The round trip ticket costs 3.00€ for a child and 6.00€ for an adult. 

The 48 hour pass, with access to unlimited trips during 48 hours, costs 4.00€ for a child and 8.00 for an adult. 

Tickets can be purchased online, on board the buses, in the arrivals area, at AeroBus points or at Turismo de Lisboa counters. Children under the age of 4 travel for free in the company of an adult. Children aged 4-10 travel on the child ticket and children aged 11 or older travel as adults. The tickets also provide a 10% discount on the local yellow buses. 

Aerobus 1 services the airport and Cais de Sodré, with stops at Entrecampos, Campo Pequeno, Saldanha, Picoas, Marquês, Av. Liberdade, Restauradores and Rossio e Praça do Comércio.

Aerobus 2 services the airport and Sete Rios bus and train station without stops on the way.
